HONORING MICHAEL TYE

When H2B friend, Ray Tye knew Harbor to the Bay first ride was a reality and was set for 9/13/03 he set up these scholarships. He wanted to be sure everyone who wanted to be part of the ride could. He continued them every year until he died on 3/10/10. That year his daughter Randy honored his memory, vision, and heart by continuing what he started. As a rider and now crew participating every year, she knows how special and empowering this ride is.
Harbor to the Bay has always been an amazing journey for Randy where friendships are made and goals are achieved. So many facets of this ride give us hope and pride in humanity. Plus of course, we all have a fabulous time!!
HONORING WAYNE FETTE & TIM STEIN

Tim and Wayne met in 1981 – the year the first cases of AIDS were reported and AIDS was identified as a new disease – a time of illness and fear, but also a time when a great and continuing struggle for joy and life began. Wayne was an early, longstanding advocate for HIV/AIDS services, providing one of the first venues for free HIV testing in Ogunquit, Maine, and they were longstanding supporters of H2B. Throughout their long partnership, Wayne and Tim felt it critically important to positively impact the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS, a core mission of H2B. The scholarship program will not only help those riders participate who would not otherwise be able to but will also help H2B support organizations carrying out this important cause.
This year’s ride honors Tim Stein who passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2022. Tim’s heart was huge, he cared about his friends and family deeply, he was a good person, a good soul, and will be missed by many. Tim touched many lives and will continue to do so.
